If a dog eats tin foil could it possibly have a seizure?

My dog died years ago from a seizure but before that she was throwing up all day and in her puke I found tin foil I carelessly left lying around. I still feel guilty for it and my parents don't know what killed her but I just want to know if that could cause a seizure/death?
