ok let me get this straight.. UPC numbers are used to identify a product, so if i buy two of the exact same product, they will have the same upc code. isbn is pretty much the same thing, but used for books, and issn is for magazines? and then serial numbers are different on every single product to help with loss prevention and for registering a product... is that right? are there any other codes?
