What are your thoughts on people who prefer to "stick with their own race"?

This is a very common thing happened when there're several race of people in an environment. According to what I learnt in Etiquettes & Communication cl, people have more intention to talk or to be in group which share the same things (here, race). I am now student in International College in one university in Taiwan. I am experiencing to be with lots of different race of people. As what u have mentioned above also happening now in my society. For my personal thinking, they shouldn't do that (stick with own race) because actually we are all the same, people in any country and have whatever colour are the same. I found out that there're lots of things that we "accidentally" share together which I never realized about it before.
