BoysVsCheifs. Why both teams wear dark jerseys?

I didnt get to watch the game so did the commentators mention something about this. I have never seen both teams where the dark jerseys in a game? Isn't there some kind of rule? I understand both teams were trying to wear throwbacks but come on the Cowboys aren't even part of that AFC Legacy game thing.
