Can i microwave soup in a china bowl?

If i want to cook Heinz soup but don't have a saucepan, can i put the soup into a china bowl and microwave it, or do I have to use a special type of container. On the back of the can it says to use a "microwaveble container". Is that a bowl, or something specific?
