I am in the Army Reserves but I haven't been to basic yet. I'm also in the Army ROTC at Oklahoma State University. The other day I was walking to cl in my ACU and an elderly man thanked me for serving our country. Not knowing what to say I just said thank you but since I haven't been to basic yet (let alone over seas) I don't know if I deserve that kind of respect. I would really appreciate any advice from any current or retired service members.

My 95 buick lesabre finally quit on me 2 days ago. It stalled out on the highway. Went to Autozone to have the codes pulled and it said it was an intermittent signal to the cam sensor. Stalled out twice on the way home. Next day went to Napa to buy a cam position sensor, in my feeble attempt to throw money at the problem to make it go away. Replaced the sensor, then the car wouldn't start. It turns over and tries to start but it just won't fire up. Put old sensor back on, same deal. Hi, I'm going to college next year. And I'm not sure yet which path to take. I'm very smart and I enjoy being in themedical environment. I am already directly admitted into the nursing program at West Virginia University, but I was talking to an intensive care nurse the other day (I intern at a hospital) and she told me that I should just go to medical school. I'm young and she said that if I'm already planning on getting my masters degree in nursing which I was, that I should just go to med school. Its only a few years longer and it pays much better plus you are more of your own boss. Money is definately important to me. I want to live. Comfortable life without having to worry, I have hobbies that I would like to continue and I want to be able to provide for my family when I get older. Well his brother has been here for 2 months and he is going through hard split up with his ex girlfriend) Well me and hubby have 2 boys ourselves and we both have a full time job,we have hard enough time making sure that we are taken care of... Growing spuds In Thailand?

I am an expat living in Thailand and just like I did back home in the UK I want to grow spuds. Despite the locals here saying that spuds wont grow I am now on my second crop of spuds which sadly is producing the same results as the first crop. I have plenty of good haulms above ground but Alla's, no flowers on them and also no spuds below. Thailand is a flat country which bears the hallmarks of once being the sea bed. There are , mussels and other shellfish and the soil is a mixture of sand and clay. whenever the dry season comes which is now there are large areas which have a white covering on the surface which is salt. It never washes away in Thailand. I have Incorporated loads of manure, compost etc and have a good soil. I also have no problems growing any of the local produce here which seems to have adapted to salt conditions, Any Ideas please?

Skunk Invasion!?

Somehow, likely because one night I closed the door to the basement too late, a skunk snuck into our basement. It refuses to come out during the day, of course, when we keep the doors open. I hesitate to open the doors at night as raccoons are numerous and much dirtier, and also because we live in an iffy city. The situation is worse still, because the basement has many crevices and rafters, and while it is not aggressive and shies away from people, I worry for my cats and for their food. Is there any other way other than calling pest control to get it out?

I ume your joking about the part skunk part, since he is not 1/2 skunk it's not possible they are two different species. He is just spraying urine, something mainly male cats and sometimes females will do. Even fixed males will still spray. Our fixed male got scared once and did a little spray of urine while running away, but he has never done it again. So it's something that any cat breed can do.

You should be caging them in a kennel type dog cage. Put them a box with a lid and a blanket--with a whole cut out so they can hid if need to, water and a litter box. They should not have a room to run if they are not friendly to you yet. Everyday, put food in and hold and pet them often. Every hour for a few minutes. Lengthening the time you hold them as they get used to it. Make sure you pet them while you hold them close. When you leave take the food. When you come back put the food back in. Once they get used to you holding them and come to the cage door to greet you then you can start letting them roam around the room while you are in there and put them back in their cage at night. If you do not have cage you should use the smallest room poss with the least amount of stuff in it as poss. I have feral kitten and have tamed him and now he is my social holly terror! Good Luck!

CNA vs Medical istant?

I'm 49 and starting over. Options are narrowed down to two: Certified Nursing istant or Medical istant. CNA= 4 weeks of training for $750. MA= 4 semesters for approximately $1200. Cost is not one of my considerations, but what I can get out of each certification is. I plan to live in Spokane, WA after school, where the hospitals there are advertising for both positions openly. And you know the puppy will be loved and cared for, it is up to you. I would make sure (since they are haggling), that they have the money for: vet visits, shots, illnesses(if any ever occur), food, grooming, training, etc. You can tell them about the breed, to insure they know the important things such as: grooming, shots, temperament, etc. I think it is more important, that the dog grows up loved and taken care of. You have met these people, so I guess it would depend on your instincts with them. No one can tell you that their financial future is guaranteed. And in this case, you can offer to take the dog back-if anything should happen. So that you know it doesn't end up neglected. You don't necessarily have to have a lot of money to own a dog. Just enough common sense, to make sure it gets help if it is sick, or a new home if for some reason something happens where they can't properly care for it.

Look on the situation as an opportunity to learn many great and valuable lessons. Can you fit a Kettler Flipper on an Electra Townie?

I'm looking into buying an Electra Townie or Cruiser and I want to make sure that a Kettler Flipper or Teddy will be able to attach onto it. Three days later my husband got fired for "poor performance" and he was never allowed to go to a workman's comp doctor. When he went in to get his last check he asked if he could see the workers comp doctor. His boss was there and said he remembered my husband reporting the accident. Steel welding wire spool mystery?

I bought a used wire welder with a spool already installed, with a regulator, but no gas cylinder, and indications from the guy who sold it was that he wasn't using gas with it. The wire, though, is .025" and my pretty strong impression is that wire that small couldn't be flux core. The wire is off-color -- kind of brownish -- however, and I wonder if that could possibly be a flux coating. ? Doesn't look like rust and it's certainly not bronze or br wire. I can't contact the guy who sold it any more ... don't seem to have his contact info (wife deleted emails and he's not in the phone book). The sticker on the side of the spool isn't helpful at all. Anyone hazard a guess as to what material this is and whether or not I can use it without gas? Thanks for hints!!

This is a very common thing happened when there're several race of people in an environment. According to what I learnt in Etiquettes & Communication cl, people have more intention to talk or to be in group which share the same things (here, race). A friend and his spouse filed for divorce in Pennsylvania over 2 years ago, leaving the wife in the home. More than one year ago, the court recommended the marital home be put up for sale "as soon as possible". The spouse residing in the home does not want to sell. The court re-issued their recommendation, so now the house is up for sale, but the price is too high. The realtor recommended a lower price that is closer to the appraised price (house had a full appraisal). The house is priced more than $35,000 more than the average price of similar style homes in the same development currently on the market. The resident spouse refuses to accept a penny less than asking price, and already turned down a fullprice offer that had a $10,000 seller ist on it. To make matters worse, the resident spouse does not work and was living off my friend's alimony payments. He just lost his job through a retirement work-force reduction program, has no savings, and his pension is much less than the required alimony payments. So the house really needs to be sold before they can't make mortgage payments and have the house go into a default situation. He already has a court date to seek to have his support payments lowered but that date is a couple months off. In the meantime, what can he do to have the resident spouse accept a good offer that was over the appraisal value of the house? Are "free-range" and "organic" dairy animals cruelty free?

I have been an ovo-lacto vegetarian for years, and would like to continue eating dairy products, but recently have been reading that organic and free-range dairy animals are most often treated just as awfully as animals not on organic and free-range farms. So, I am considering a vegan diet; I have a gluten-sensitivity, so I already have a somewhat limited choice for protein (as most veggie burgers and such contain wheat gluten). Okay, I had a Laparoscopic Appendectomy last Thursday. My surgeons closed the three incisions with Dermabond. I can see the wounds and two of them look like they're supposed to. However the smallest one, on the left side (facing me) of my belly on about an inch and a half away from it doesn't. It isn't a clean straight line like the other two, it looks somewhat wider. It is kind of green right on the incision and is red and pink around it. I'm not sure if it's infected or anything though, it looks as if it is, but I'm not a doctor...help?

I have two job interviews this week. I have just gotten back from the first one and was asked to come back for a followup interview before the final decision is made. Hey, I understand what you are saying. I'm definately white, my whole family is white, but you can really see a hint of something else. I'm not dark at all, but on my father's side you can see the darkness for example his hair and eyes are abnormally dark, not really typical of white people. My mother is so white, she is see through. I'm I am a natural blonde, thanks to my mom, but my my hair is curly, and a comb does definately not go through my hair with ease, It's a struggle every morning. Though I'm not as dark as a paperbag, when I get in the sun in summer, I'm definately darker, but we have a harsh sun here in SA. Haha, well, yeah I'm white, but you can see the little hints of mix from way back coming through. I was on accutane two years ago and it did wonders for my skin, but I remember I had to try all kinds of antibiotics and creams(which did not help my acne at all) before my derm would prescribe me accutane. I was clear for a year and a half after accutane but over the last six months the acne has slowly crept back up on me. my skin isn't as bad now as it was the first time I went on accutane but its oily all the time with lots of little zits and only 1 or 2 big ones. I have pretty bad body acne too. I have a derm appointment next month and would like to do a second course of accutane. If I ask for it will my derm prescribe it to me right away or do I have to go through all the useless antibiotics and creams again first?

Late Start to IB Ab Initio Spanish?

Many of my friends in IB took pre IB French 10 SL, did horribly and then took IB Intro Spanish 11 as their grade 11 language and they said it was dead easy. Spanish is quite an easy language to learn from what I understand (the grammar is quite straight forward). My friends absolutely sucked at French and did awesome in the Spanish cl. If you're willing to work hard to catch up, you should be fine. I wish I had taken Spanish instead of suffering through French 12 and squeaking by with a 4.

Last night my golden ret. started to have a raspy cough. she shows no signs of not feeling well?

she ate a "busy bone", which is soft, earlier in the evening. sometimes she tends to lick the rug, which has dog hair on it, after eating a treat. when she is sleeping she doesnt cough but when awake she has this raspy, deep cough. it is not continous but often. i tried to look in her throat & do not see anything. she doesn't cough when you rub the throat either. she is up to date with all vaccinations. could she have a hairball like a cat? or can she have a cold? she was in the car with the windows down a little yesterday and it was 45 degrees. could she have caugh a cold?being christmas eve i cant take her to the vet til tuesday. do you know why she is coughing and can i give her anything? i am pretty positive it is not kennel cough since she isnt nor has been around other dogs. she is eating like normal but has seemed to drink more water than usual today. she coughs so hard sometimes its like she is trying to bring something up.

Coping with stress???

I'm a single mother of a beautiful 14 mth old little girl and I work full time for a inbound call center. My job drives me to the point were sometime it takes everything in me to not just get up and quit, and then I go home at night to take care of my little one. I love my daughter with every grain of my soul, but sometimes after I put her to bed I just sit on the couch and cry for hours because I am to the point where I am so wore out that I am having troubles coping. Lately I have been getting tension headaches which are so bad I can't move my neck. Once every three four weeks I get a night off because my parents take her for the night, but by the time I am done cleaning my house ( I only use harsh chemical cleaners when she is not home just in case) it is 4-5am and I have to be at my parent's by noonish the next day. I just don't know what to do, I have been diagnosed with depression . There is no one I can really turn to for help without rishing losing her.

My wife says that for the most part she doesn't like women. She says they are hard to get along with and will stab you in the back the first chance they get. She also said the woman want equal rights but don't want to do whats necessary to maintain those rights. I just picked up this himalayan cat off the streets and im looking to have all his hair shaved off. the problem is that his hair is RIDICULOUSLY matted. There isn't an inch of hair on this cat that isn't matted all the way down to its skin. i would expect that they would have to put the cat out for a few hours because it would be a real challenge doing it with him awake. parts of the fur are actually tearing off his skin because of how infused these mats are. i don't really know a lot about cats but seeing him suffer like this is killing me and id really appreciate it if someone would give me an accurate price on getting him fixed up.
